Conveniently close to Kathmandu, Shivapuri is the newest national park of Nepal. Beginning at the holy shrine of Buddhanilkantha (sleeping Vishnu) we ascend the Shivapuri hill passing a renowned Buddhist monastery and enjoy a panoramic view of the Langtang and Mustang and the mighty Manaslu. Our descent next to the holy Bagmati River takes us to the famous viewpoint of Nagarkot on the edge of the Kathamandu valley.
