Trekking - Annapurana Sanctuary Trekking duration: 10-14 days
Starting from: Birethanti Ending at: Jhinuwa (Hot spring) Most Attraction of the trek: The spectacular mountain views from Annapurna and Macchapucchare base camps, natural hot springs, lush forests and wildlife, the incredible view from Poon Hill.
If you do not have the time to trek around the Annapurnas then the Sanctuary is your perfect mountain ‘fix’. The trek begins with the ascent to Poon Hill for the incredible view of the entire Annapurna massif. You then drop down into the Modi Kola valley where you can visit the natural hot springs and relax by the riverside. The approach to the sanctuary is through a sheer faced gorge choked with forests of bamboo, birch and rhododendron. As you enter the sanctuary the dramatic amphitheatre of the Annapurnas suddenly towers above you. Then go explore the surrounding glaciers and view points!
